East Coast Barbados Engagement Session When I walked out of the car and met them on the side of the road overlooking the East Coast at Cherry Tree Hill, the…
I always get a bit nervous when I photograph another photographer - don't we all? Brad contacted me from Denver as he was getting married to the sweetest person on earth (she actually really is!) and wanted to surprise her with a photoshoot with me. I was beyond thrilled.
We exchanged emails for a few months before we chatted on the phone about their engagement session. From the moment I said “Hi, this is Aniya!”, it was like we were old friends chatting. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
They came in from Turkey to celebrate their wedding and when I met them on the Oistins pier, it was as though we had known each other our whole lives. We immediately started chatting about the wedding, the Turkish traditions, my travels to their beautiful country and everything in between. At some point, I said "oh! We need to actually photograph you!" We could have talked for hours. They loved, they laughed and they snuggled. It was a glorious session.
There was something special about her when we chatting on the phone about her wedding. She had a genuine happiness to her, and I knew we would spend all our time together smiling. And then I met Andrew and it was confirmed - they were the cutest couple EVER! We made our way from St. Nicholas Abbey to Cherry Tree Hill, and then finished up at Codrington College. We laughed from beginning to end, and I can safely say, I'm pretty much addicted to these two. I cannot wait for their wedding in August!
She has the sweetest personality you could ask for, and he absolutely adores her. They came to our session with a beer in their hands - my kinda people. We chatted and laughed and explored in the forest a bit. They melted into each other, and suddenly, a tear came down her face. She couldn't hold back her emotions and I thought it was the most beautiful thing that had happened on an engagement session.
I met Mahlet and Aaron quite some time ago online through an amazingly beautiful friend here in Barbados. We hit it off immediately, and chatted, and chatted and chatted some more. When they flew to Barbados from Ottawa for their wedding, it was as though I was meeting old friends.
I met Kristin online, and immediately connected with her. She had such a warm, welcoming disposition, I felt like I'd known her for ages. We decided that we would meet at her vacation home at Leamington House and then take a cool drive up the east coast.
I got a little ping on my inbox one day. A spunky gal who was all smiles got in touch with me to talk wedding photography. How did she find me? Instagram :-), and we immediately connected. After a few emails back and forth, and a trip from Atlanta to start planning her wedding, I met Theresa and her very cool fiancee, Jeff in the parking lot of the Oistins Fish Market.
