Apes Hill Club Barbados Wedding
I walked into their hotel suite at the Hilton Hotel, and the atmosphere was incredible. Michael and his groomsmen (and one groomslady), just one floor below his bride to be, were having an absolute ball, while Amanda and her girls giggled and sipped on champagne. One thing that Michael and Amanda shared, and was extremely important for them to document, was their faith. Faith in a power beyond theirs, and faith in each other. They shared a moment before Amanda slipped into her Vera Wang dress, reading a scripture together on either side of a door. As he read to her, they held hands knowing that in mere hours, they would be husband and wife.
Once they were both dressed, we headed to the beautiful St. James Parish Church on the west coast of the island (seriously my favorite church!). As Amanda came through those doors, every pew was adorned with ear to ear smiles. Once the ceremony was over, Amanda and Michael were two EXTREMELY happy newlyweds! They pretty much ran out of the church and were greeted with a blast of confetti from their bridal party before they made their way to Apes Hill for the reception.
Once we arrived at Apes Hill, the scene was something out of a book. The sun was setting just over the hills which gave us a beautiful glow that we couldn’t have made up if we tried. Once we finished with Michael and Amanda’s portraits, we brought in the incredibly beautiful and hilarious bridesmaids. This group of girls were not just her friends, they were her tribe.
We then made our way to the beautiful reception created by the fantastic Emma Corrie of Emma Corrie Designs. After some emotional speeches, the party got started, big time, and into the night they went.
Thank you so much Amanda and Michael for inviting us into your truly epic day!
