When I walked into their hotel room at the Southern Palms Hotel, to begin photographing their wedding, the laughs began. No holds barred was the order of the day, and the irony of life, is that he was a cage fighter. Needless to say, his bride was well protected.
As a wedding photographer, I get to meet the most amazing people. And these two were no exception. The wedding party consisted of myself, the officiant and the hotel event planner. He helped her into her wedding dress, they walked each other down the aisle, cigarette in hand, and pretty much laughed their way through the ceremony. The clincher was when the officiant asked for the rings, and the groom went for them in his pocket. He dug deep, but they were nowhere to be found. Hands over his face, he remarked, "I've got no clue were I left them - back in the hotel room, maybe?". And there they were.
They danced on the beach, held each other close as the waves gently rolled in.
They didn't need a party. They needed themselves.
It was an honor to document this day for you..
